This is the amazing Marcy and her wonderful son Roger. 👩👦They just got the keys to their first home and it makes me so happy I could cry. 😭
Marcy came to the United States in 1980 when she was just 13 years old. ⛰ She crossed over the mountains with her older brother and lived here for two years before going back to Mexico. She fell in love with America and knew that one day she would come back to start a life here. 🏡
In 2001, nearly 20 years later, Marcy came back! ☀️ She has been grinding ever since. Marcy has worked in factories, manufacturing, manual labor, and more. 🧼 Most recently, Marcy worked as a house cleaner until she approached her boss for more hours.
He couldn’t give her more hours cleaning houses but he could give her a job painting houses. 🎨 Marcy has been hustling with the boys, climbing ladders and painting houses since.
This new job helped her save enough to provide Roger a different life than she had growing up. Marcy isn’t done yet. She now aspires to learn maintenance and go onto property management. 🛠 🧰 Marcy is a walking billboard displaying what the American Dream is all about. 🇺🇸 She is the poster child for hard work and another example of how woman are just about better than men at everything. We love you, Marcy and Roger. God bless your family and your new home. 🙏
