#endometriosis

day 4 of 21 today is the last day of endometriosis awareness month and I’d like to dedicate this post to my role model and endohero, my mother. my mother was officially diagnosed with endometriosis in 1992 and has had a long journey with this disorder but her story has truly inspired me. only in 1998 (around that time) was she told that she was on stage iv when she found a doctor that really helped her understand what she was dealing with after being dismissed since for years. she was told she would not be able to have anymore children but by God’s my little brother was born in 2003. he was truly almost a miracle because of how severe the endometriosis was. in her journey she’s had a total of 16 surgeries with a hysterectomy in 2007 and a removal of her ovaries + other reproductive organs in 2008. seeing her dealing with this over the years was mostly heartbreaking but her strength and resilience has always inspired me. endometriosis can really affect the quality of life a woman has but even with this struggle my mother has always been a hero, she’s empowered other women through her ministry and sharing her health journey as she continues to live with diabetes and a brain tumor. But I am in awe. I salute you and I love you mommy. Truly a conqueror. ✨ to every woman struggling with endometriosis, (or anything else that may be affecting you) may you never lose hope or ever give up on yourself. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10   #endometriosis     #endometriosissouthafrica     #endometriosisawarenessmonth     #healing     #endowarrior     #endosisters     #lockdown     #21daysoflockdown     #blackgirlmagic     #womenshealth     #endometriosiswarrior

March is Endometriosis awareness month. Around 10% of woman worldwide are affected with this. ❤️ So what is Endometriosis ?(Endo as its commonly called). Endo is something where the tissue found in your uterus tends to grow outside too. In severe cases it can go up to your respiratory organs & down to your bladder too. ❤️ Just like how your uterus lining breaks down every month, these tissues too think that they should break down and bleed. Unfortunately if they are in other parts of your body, they break down & bleed but doesn't have a pathway to exit. ❤️ Instead it causes inflammation and triggers your immune system that can cause scaring. That is the reason if the endo is severe you might feel symptoms like Painful periods, heavy bleeding, painful sex, back pain, bladder pain, depression, infertility, pain during exercises and bowel moments. ❤️ This without any doubt can impact your daily life & relationship. With the symptoms your Obygn can conclude it as Endo but the severity can be found only with a laproscopy. ❤️ It is not that everyone with endo should undergo surgeries to remove them or hysterectomy in worst cases. Endo can be treated with a good diet too ❤️ March being Endometriosis Awarness month please find the foods that can help you to control the tissue growth.   @global  _shapers__coimbatore partnering with   @bgsivaranjani   a Nutrition & Wellness coach to conduct a series of session on Womens’s Health & PCOD related issues. • • • pcod   #pcos     #globalshaperscommunity     #globalshaperscoimbatore     #shaperslife     #shaperslove     #womenshapers     #pcosweightloss     #pcosawareness     #pcosdiet     #endometriosisawareness     #endometriosis     #thyroidhealing     #thyroidproblems     #irregularperiods     #regularperiods     #dietchange     #changeyourdiet     #naturalhealing     #healthydietforpregnancy     #pregnancyannouncement     #pregnancy     #naturalpregnancy     #naturalpregnancyafterivf     #onlineclassforpcod     #sivijaroflove     #bgsivaranjani     #pcodproblems     #byebyepcodbysivi     @global  _shapers__coimbatore   @bgsivaranjani     @globalshaperscommunity

The rocky road to recovery.... March being endometriosis awareness month, I came into it full of positivity, I was feeling pretty good 😊 skip forward to 11th March and I was in full flare, struggling to walk. I then did my best to bounce back in time for a gig, which was awesome but I suffered for it. Still not doing great and feeling pretty unhappy about it, I thought I'd have years of feeling good not weeks. 7 months after my excision surgery and pain already creeping back in daily, fatigue a b*tch and my skin, hair & nails screwed. Is it a bump in the rocky road to recovery?! I hope so💛   #endometriosis     #endometriosiswarrior     #endometriosisawareness     #endo     #endowarrior     #endoaware     #laparoscopy     #excision     #excisionsurgery     #excisionrecovery     #surgeryrecovery     #endonottheendofme

🧘🏻‍♀️   #DOLOR   | ¿Quién no sufre dolores menstruales? ¿O musculares? . Totalmente recomendable 👌🏼 . . .   #sacotermico     #calor     #lavanda     #dolormuscular     #dolormenstrual     #doloresmenstruales     #ilovecyclo     #bolsadecalor     #aprocor     #menstruacion     #menstruacionconsciente     #menstruacionsostenible     #reglasdolorosas     #lareglanotienequedoler     #regladolorosa     #endometriosisawareness     #endometriosiswarrior     #endometriosispain     #instablog     #unteconceresrecomienda     #unteconceres     #NoAd

I had so many video calls last week with clients due to be going for IVF, that feel blessed we have been given a couple more months to analyse and prepare their bodies even more. Whilst I am not able to see them face to face, we have put in place in depth plans via remote consultations, for them to be working towards whilst in lockdown ❤After conceiving our daughter within a month of trying, my husband and I (naively) thought conceiving a second child wouldn't take long. Unfortunately it didn't happen. Why wasn't I conceiving? I already had one baby so there couldn't be a problem?! As I started looking into it I discovered that "secondary infertility" is a very real and very common problem. I started to feel maybe I was wrong to want to expand my family. After all I had a beautiful daughter who filled our lives with so much joy and love, I couldn't possibly begin to describe it. But then I decided : no, I wasn't wrong for wanting another child. A brother or sister for our daughter, another little one to love. But then I was frustrated at not conceiving and it was starting to control my life let alone my mood! After months and months of trying to fall pregnant, a colleague recommended Fertility treatment with Kerry. His wife had had a c section (same as me) and had had trouble conceiving their second baby. So I booked an appointment. The treatment was not just hands on but valuable help and advice on diet, fertility enhancing supplements, ovulation testing etc. I felt a huge sense of relief as if someone else was sharing my problem and would help me to try to fix it- it wasn't all on me anymore! After just three months I had to cancel our forth session because I had found out the amazing news that i was pregnant! I couldn't believe it! Now our beautiful baby boy is in our arms. He is a beloved little brother to his hugely proud big sister. He has completed our family with his gorgeous smile and I know I wasn't wrong to want him. I just needed a bit of help to get him here. Kerry we are eternally grateful to you because thanks to you we now have our perfect little family.❤ For more information on how I can help in the lockdown please DM me

Sauerkraut 🥬⠀ ⠀ Sauerkraut is one of my top probiotic foods that I consume almost daily, plus it’s so easy to make - all you need is cabbage, water and salt!⠀ ⠀ Probiotic foods help to maintain levels of friendly bacteria in the gut, also known as the gut flora. We know that gut health plays a major role in almost every system of the body, including the immune system - approximately 70% of the entire immune system resides in the gut after all - so consuming probiotic foods regular can be a great support for your immunity. ⠀ ⠀ For my sauerkraut recipe and 3 other recipes too, follow the link in my bio to download my free eBook 👆🏼⠀ ⠀   #KirstenOddy     #Nutrition   ⠀

#endometriosisawarenessmonth   is nearly over but that doesn’t mean I’ll ever stop fighting or be quiet again about this horrific   #invisibleillness   ! This picture was taken a little more than a week ago at the height of a horrific   #endoflare  . I was in so much pain I couldn’t physically move for 2 hours and tears were slowly and continually streaming from my eyes. Since then my symptoms have thankfully vanished entirely. I’ve been spending my time doing as much as I can physically to enjoy what will most likely be my one good week this month — quarantine permitting, of course. It almost feels like “normal” Lauren is back: I’ve been cooking up a storm, working out twice a day, going on long walks and runs (!), calling friends and family, playing games and getting good sleep. All it takes is two good days in a row for me to nearly me forget the battle I just went through. It’s like I don’t want to believe that I have a   #chronicillness  , so the second I have the faintest sign of relief my brain rationalizes that the whole ordeal was a fluke and I’ll never feel that way again — only to have symptoms flare up a few weeks later and have to dive deep into the grieving process all over again. Living with a chronic illness is just as mentally challenging as it is physically challenging. You’re stuck on the most f*cked up merry-go-round of hope, despair, anger, resentment, sadness and acceptance. For now, I’m trying my best to live in this beautiful moment of relief but also remind myself that when I flare again, I’ll be ok — and come out the other side to another handful of wonderful days that I’ll appreciate more than ever before. 💛 🎗️

If you’re settled into this new “normal” lifestyle and looking for some knowledge, these are some of my top reads for pelvic floor conditions. If you haven’t had a second to yourself and haven’t thought of doing anything to “better yourself” during this time, I 💯 understand. We are all dealing with this current situation differently. ⭐️ the fourth trimester I highly recommend, especially for first time parents. I’ve been buying this for baby shower gifts for my friends recently, it’s that good. Everything in our culture prepares us for pregnancy and childbirth, but there is a lack of education for what to expect once you go home with a new baby. ⭐️ Come as you are I recommend for any couple who is having trouble connecting sexually. See is much more complicated than just what is happening physically. ⭐️Intercystitial Cystitis Solution is a great guide for anyone who has been told they have this diagnosis. It goes over all the possible treatments and the efficacy of their treatments. ⭐️ Beating Endo. A really good read for anyone with this diagnosis. There are exercises you can do as well as talking about what treatments to seek. Also, reassurance that you aren’t crazy and exaggerating your symptoms. These are all linked in my website if you want to check them out there. They are available on Amazon.   #read     #betteryourself     #booklist     #readinglist     #quarantinelife     #postpartum     #pregnancy     #interstitialcystitis     #endometriosis     #endo     #endowarrior     #endowarriors     #rechargetherapy

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀   #Endometrioma     #Venezuela     #instapic     #Endometriosis     #CancerOvario     #OvarianCancer     #ginecologiaoncologica     #SoMe4GynOnc     #Gyn  kologieOnkologie   #Caracas     #ClearCell     #ChooseWisely     #oncohoegl     #PDS
