This week Moosekateers are working on having dogs that are better hosts & hostesses when company comes over. The nice thing about COVID-19 is that it gives us an opportunity to practice our skills WITHOUT actual guests, which is the best time to learn new things. One of the questions asked is if a crate could be substituted for a dog bed.
The answer is yes, you can substitute a crate for a dog bed, however dog beds (or blankets) are more mobile so I like that I can move my dog bed further from company if my dog is younger & easily tempted, or closer to company as my dogs are more practiced. Unlike their crates people can easily walk by & pet them while they keep all 4 on their dog bed. And isn't what we really want is to have our dogs out when company is over? This was at the end of the party, we moved the dogs beds outside, but had zero worry that they would get under tires as people started to leave.
