This is June, like any other june of any other year. Yet there is a lot that has changed. I didn't know until yesterday that there is a month that's called pride month for spreading awareness that no matter what is your sexual orientation but you deserve same respect being a human as others. From being something considered as illegal to happening a lot of conversation on this; we have come a very far.
Yet, we need to realize that in between this ongoing revolution of turning a taboo into pride there is other side of coin also. There are people who still choose to be on the side of misogyny, for whom calling someone chhakka, meetha, hijra is just a normal thing. For them a community which is used for degrading other human being just because they are different is not a big deal. And we must understand that these people are not uneducated, backward and comes from remote areas. These people are among us, working with us, in our families, in our friend circle.
So no matter how loud we shout there will be a section of society which will turn blind and deaf willingly decide not to see wave of the change. But we need to make sure that when a person is standing in a line; he gets the respect he deserves irrespective of his sexual orientation and not those hatful looks. For that we need to keep shouting until they don't hear, we need to keep writing until they don't read, we need to keep giving them a smile until those hateful looks doesn't change into smiles. We can't force people to believe into something, all we can do is spread as much love as we can so that all the hate gets smaller and smaller and disappear on one fine day. Till then keep shouting,
Love is love, Love is Love, love is love.🌈
