Quarantine has…well, ruined my sleep schedule, my diet, my exercise regiment, my skin, etc., etc.
Here are some little promises I am making to myself (in front of God and Instagram):
-1. Either get 10,000 steps or do 100 squats a day – some of my shifts are super active and some of them, well, I don’t really move my body. Until I get back to gripping it and ripping it in the gym (pray that I can still throw some heavy weights around), I need to make sure I am taking care of the muscles (and blood vessels and cardiac system, etc., etc.) that I already have!
2. Stretch and apply lotion before bed EVERY NIGHT. Bro, there is no excuse for not touching my toes for like 35 seconds a night NOR is there an excuse for these crusty hands (okay… I am washing them a LOT, but still). It’s time to get back to good sleep.
That’s a good start – it’s important when setting goals not to overwhelm yourself with 467.8 goals – start with one or two and get CRACKIN’. Your ability to achieve a goal decreases significantly with each goal that you add after two, so keep it simple and get to work!
What are your promises? How are you planning on taking back the reins on your life amidst this COVID mess?
