PAINT JOB. .
Ya know, just lovin’ life now that I finally painted a mane😍
Kidding, it just felt really good to do an actual balayage. I’ve been so stuck in the foiling craze - switching the scenery up was good for the soul. .
I posted some tips in @iamginabianca Mastermind group (if you aren’t a part of it - go freakin’ join its amazing!!) so I’ll share some here too!
1. I do not paint with clay based lightener. Preference based for me. I truly love the grit of traditional blue based lightener. It also gives me more ‘bang for my buck’ in the lifting department!
2. I never paint with higher than 25vol. Slow + steady wins the race of lift. It’s a more consistent lift as well. A typical processing time is 30-40 minutes post completion.
3. I always start my paints in the front! Hairline pops are my fave😍
I painted Kate with @redken Flashlift 20vol + @olaplex ❤️ .
That’s the beauty of this industry. We all have our own ways, our own tried + true tips, + our own tricks up our sleeves. It’s a beautiful thing!
